May 20 Monday              Vysehrad –the first residence of the Czech Kings and Slavin, the

graveyard of  famous Czechs such as Bedrich Smetana and

Antony Dvorak

1.30 pm lunch in the Restaurant Male Divy, Janovskeho 3,Praha 7

Afternoon programme:

2.30 pm  Concert of world „evergreens“ given by  famous Czech

Army band at the Cultural Center Vltavska,Bubenska 1,Prague 7

Welcome dinner with Czech families

 

 

 

May 21 Tuesday            The Royal Route -from the Powder Tower on and across the Charles

Bridge ( 1357 A.D.) guided tour

1.30 pm lunch  as usual

Petrin Hill and Petrin Tower/a copy of the Eiffel Tower/

by  a funicular

6.30 pm supper in the restaurant near the theatre

8 pm Black Light Theatre ( a combination of

pantomime, light effects,film,dance-Czech invention for EXPO

1958 in  Brussels)at Metro Palace, Narodni 25, Prague 1,

revealing workshop after the performance

 

 

 

May 22 Wednesday          International  conference on active aging

conference held from 10.00am – 2.00 pm at the Culture Center

Vltavska including  lunch and a rich  programme

3 pm Old Town Hall – reception with the deputy-mayor,

followed by  guided tour of  the representative rooms and view

over the Old Town from the Outlook Tower

6.00 pm Vltava river cruise with supper

 

May 23 Thursday              10.30 pm  Prague Castle- guided tour of  Castle state rooms

which are usually accessible only for governmental visitors

                                             1.30 pm Lunch as usual

The Holy Infant of Prague and stroll through the picturesque

winding streets of the Lesser Town or Jewish Town

Packed supper

6.30 pm concert of classical music at Palffy´s Palace

 

May 24 Friday                     Bus trip to Southern Bohemia

Ceske Budejovice  /regional capital of Southern

Bohemia /  Budweiss in English

Excursion to the world famous Budweisser brewery

Lunch at Masne Kramy –historic butchers shops

/Budweisser goulash on  menu  /

Historic center, one hectar square with the Erratic stone,

the Black Tower, St.Nicholas Cathedral, Capuchin

cloister,free time

Three nights accommodation / suite with two double rooms,

May 25 Saturday              Trip to Cesky Krumlov, the UNESCO listed town

Guided tour through the picturesque streets

Castle tour and castle gardens, a unique excursion of the Baroque

castle theatre

Free time for self exploration and self selected lunch (money for

lunch will be provided)

dinner in the boarding school in Velesin

Concert of classical music given by the students of a  local

conservatory of  music

 

 

May 26 Sunday                Holasovice  village(UNESCO listed place, unique rural baroque

Architecture)

Departure for Trebon -Rennaisance town with the largest

man made pond „The World“in Southern Bohemia

lunch   at „Bily Konicek“ an impressive Rennaisance hotel

from 1601

options:

1)enjoy the beautiful Castle park and historic square during

your free time

2/walk along the pond to the Schwarzenberg crypt

Farewell dinner in Velesin

 

 

 

May 27 Monday              Departure day

Bus goes directly to the airport, expected arrival at 11 a.m.

please, do not book your flight before 1 p.m.

TOTAL PRICE  CZK 11.000,- (approx.EUR  425 ,-or GBP 365,-  ) payable by bank transfer to British  or Czech bank  or in cash upon arrival-after deducting deposit sent with application)

INCLUDES  eight night accommodation in a double room / twin beds/, three meals a day, all the admissions according to the itinerary and all the transport out of Prague.

Single accommodation is not available.

Participants are responsible for  their own transport to/from Prague and for their public transport pass in Prague (persons over 70 travel  free of charge, but need a travelpass, people between 60-70 get 50 % reduction, bring a passport size photo along) . The participants of the International gathering might combine pleasant and usefull and attend  either the intensive memory training classes or the seminar for memory trainers. The seminar for trainers takes five and half days from May 15th till 20th , the intensive memory training class takes four mornings and includes free afternoon guided tours , info on both events  can be found on
